My Careers began in 2018 in response to the needs of students, educators, employers and communities, embracing broader and deeper conceptions of learning success, careers education and equity of educational and career opportunities.
My Careers is an innovative evidence-based platform that recognises individuals’ unique interests, talents and skillsets, then enables the user to invest in learning to attain their purposes. This reduces the resources required to provide robust and agile career advice at every stage of the career journey.
We have been fortunate enough to be working with inventive, innovative and creative educators who have been welcoming blended learning, competency-based assessment, online learning, learning analytics and micro-credentialing for the past few years now, out of desire. Pre-empting the transition to blended learning, we built an agile platform that starts at the outcome students seek, a rewarding future.
Reducing the friction between students and their career pathways is just the beginning. The most powerful attribute to follow is the ability for our platform to support the education industry entirely by delivering a more agile learning experience, inherently solving the demographical and equity challenges faced within the education system.

Fergus leads the My Careers team with purpose and authenticity to harness the power of quality, agile and contemporary career education to create a better world.
He is also proud to hold a Directors position for Go Girls Foundation, a social enterprise whose mission is to protect, honour and celebrate Women at risk of issues including domestic violence, long-term unemployment and semi-homelessness.

Grant joined My Careers in 2018, attracted by the purpose of the company and the opportunity it provided to help people find meaningful careers. As a parent, he is acutely aware of the benefits to be realised from enabling young people to explore different pathways and to find the starting point from which to launch into their working lives.
Grant is a non-executive director for a number of small to medium companies and for-purpose organisations, and practises as a management consultant. Previously, he was a partner at Accenture, where he spent 30 years working in Australia and internationally.
Grant has an honours degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Melbourne and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Tanaya has a passion for outcome-driven innovation and joined My Careers to be a part of a team that allows for self-exploration in terms of careers and further education for all Australians.
With five years experience in the tertiary education sector, including student recruitment and experience, she understands the challenges faced by students and schools in making informed and engaged decisions about futures. Tanaya is driven by the goal of assisting all Australians in finding purposeful futures, and understanding pathway options available to suit their needs.
Alongside administrative tasks, Tanaya employs her academic background in digital media, web design, and marketing to coordinate the digital presence of the company through website updates and social media.

Andrew strives to lead educational thinking and practice and operates across the dimensions of policy, research and practice and through inter-sectoral, interstate and international connections. He brings the knowledge and experience of CEO at Centre for Strategic Education and Principal roles at two large Independent Australian schools
Andrew has particular interests in recent brain research and its impacts upon learning processes and learning capacities, of the importance of architectural design in the development of learning environments and of the importance of experiential learning in the overall development of young people.
He remains engaged in the NGO sector, including a focus on improved educational outcomes for indigenous children. He is also a Board member of Samaritan House, a mens’ homeless refuge in Geelong.

Martin has over 44 years’ experience in accounting and financial services, having commenced his professional career at Deloitte, before joining Findex as Senior Partner – providing Business Advisory Services for an array of industries.
Martin attended the Wharton Business School of Executive Education in Philadelphia, which formed part of his Chief Executive Course in Leadership and Management. He has a strong corporate advisory skill set, and was also an Executive Advisor in the Corporate Finance and Advisory Team.
Martin has a particular interest in assisting young entrepreneurs turn ideas into commercial enterprises, by delivering solutions, strategy, governance and financial acumen to the team. Currently, Martin acts as Chief Financial Officer of several Edtech, Brand and Medical companies, including My Careers.
Head of Partnerships
For the last 10+ years, Matthew has worked in various sales and account management roles in the publishing, media and tech industries across Australia, Asia and the Pacific.
Matthew is a natural leader and collaborator who fosters a culture that drives productivity, engagement and innovation amongst team members and colleagues, even across multiple geographies and time zones.
His obsessively curious nature and authentic relationship building approach enables him to create and deliver initiatives that drive customer value and business growth.
Matthew’s most recent tenure at PressReader unlocked a passion for technology and SaaS products and the opportunity to work for a purpose led business and impact the education sector and lives of students, is one he’s truly excited about.
Matthew’s role at My Careers will include identifying growth opportunities, sourcing and securing long-term sustainable partnerships and building networks to grow My Careers awareness amongst key customer segments.

Nicholas is a business-oriented IT professional with well-rounded technical, sales and business skills. He works collaboratively with customers to ensure successful business outcomes utilising the latest technologies in software, cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and traditional on premise IT.
Over 25 years Nicholas has worked across many roles spanning IT Operations and Infrastructure through Software Development, Sales, Business Consulting and Strategic consulting.
His skills translate to the startup world, being capable of rapidly understanding and implementing ideas. Nicholas is responsible for creating, maintaining and expanding the product development priority list and managing the technology team.
UX/UI & Graphic Design
Lucas has designed for a number of Melbourne’s leading design studios and honed his skills as a full-time designer and in-demand freelancer.
Proficient in many aspects of design, Lucas is an expert in the areas of branding and digital design. He strives to create work that is conceptually strong and commercially viable, executed through hard work and a commitment to every project.
Lucas holds a Bachelor of Design from Swinburne University of Technology. Originally from the small mountain town of Jindabyne, he moved to Melbourne to pursue a career in design.
Social Media Manager / Content Producer
Ange has been working in the digital sector for three years and is extremely passionate about content production. She has been directly collaborating with businesses that require a social media presence.
She is a pure creative with a keen eye for digital media who works to provide brands and companies with a platform to enhance their visibility. She enjoys creating material and sharing it on various social networks. As an influencer who enjoys promoting companies on her Instagram profile, she makes content for herself in her spare time.
She is in charge of creating various informative content that can be accessed by the target market so that My Careers can help them on their career and journey in choosing the right path.
